ok lets tackle a sensitive issue here ,the gp issue we discussed today
several responses,many point of views and perspective
1.christian
Do you believe in God ,if He is present ,why did all those happen ?I personally believed that everything happened for a reason ,as we do not have the supremacy to question what the supernatural realms are about or doubt anyone's character and make .This is because we are all made differently ,no doubt some people of some race did something really wrong such as forcing people into slavery ,this might be due to some warped ideology or mindset that they had originally established in their minds .They are in the wrong although they can score some sympathy points by saying that they are not aware that such harm have been done to other parties .There are black sheeps in a flock ,not all oranges are good ,neither are all apples are good .We cannot hastily generalise ,why didn't the church help ,who knows they did not ,not by a bias view point definitely .Similarly,individuals did help but their strength was meagre and it could not overthrow the powerful evil.Personally i believe that evil will not triumph for long .
2.those exploited
Slavery is a big and strong term ,it deprives people of basic rights .We have to study history to look through our mistakes and not make them again .As the world progresses ,we have to adapt and not stick to our staunch tradditions ,however correct ideology may stay .We can't hate a person forever,we have to live and love .It may sound like a politically correct answer but it is something easier said than done .As globalisation takes place ,we have to learn how to intergrate and not cling on to the past hatred .
In conclusion ,the film has some truth in it but it is pretty bias in my view point ,it does not even show any possibility that the other had any form of remorse ,disabling all loopholes to strengthen its own view point .It is built up from the basis of hatred .In my opinion the film was screened as a bad example of essay for us to critisise.
